- TVET CDACC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TVET Prime to integrate an electronic portfolio of evidence management system into the CBET framework.
- The Council has confirmed that the platform is suitable for institutions, urging early onboarding ahead of the November/December 2026 assessment series to improve efficiency and record integrity.
- Institutions have been encouraged to engage directly with TVET Prime for activation, training, and technical support, as CDACC has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting innovation and quality assurance in technical education.
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TVET Prime for an Electronic Portfolio of Evidence (e-PoE) Management System to support Competency Based Education and Training (CBET).
The Council said the agreement confirms that the platform has been reviewed and found suitable for integration with its e-Portfolio of Evidence ecosystem. However, institutions remain free to adopt the platform based on their own operational needs, with the Council continuing to support interoperability and compliance with the prescribed e-PoE standards.
According to TVET CDACC, the partnership forms part of its wider push to use digital technologies to strengthen the management, assessment and verification of learner evidence under the CBET framework. The TVET Prime platform offers institutions a secure digital environment for creating, managing and storing trainee portfolios, while also supporting the involvement of trainers, assessors, internal quality assurance personnel and candidates throughout the assessment process.
Institutions that want to use the platform can activate it directly from their end. Once activated, they will be able to onboard trainees and other relevant users ahead of the November/December 2026 Assessment Series and subsequent cycles.

The Council urged institutions to begin the onboarding process early. This will allow enough time for familiarisation with the platform, migration of existing learner portfolios and preparation of candidates for assessment. Early adoption, it said, is essential for improving efficiency, accessibility of learner evidence and record integrity, while also making assessment processes run more smoothly.

TVET CDACC said it remains committed to working with technology partners and stakeholders to promote innovation, quality assurance and efficient delivery of CBET in Kenya.
