State bars politicians from distributing bread, soda in schools ahead of 2027 poll

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has warned politicians and other well-wishers against visiting schools to distribute donations directly to learners, citing disruption of lessons and concerns over children's privacy. The directive follows complaints that some visitors use donations such as bread and soda to photograph learners for political publicity ahead of the 2027 General Election.
