700 Lamu top 2020 KCPE performers in Lamu awarded full scholarships

Lamu County government has offered full Scholarships to all 2020 Kenya Certificate Primary Education (KCPE) candidates who scored 300 marks and above.

According to the county executive committee member in charge of education Paul Thairu, at least 700 candidates scored 300 marks and above in the national exams.

The CECM indicated that the Governor Fahim Twaha-led administration will also provide bursaries to the remaining candidates

“The monies would be allocated to all those willing to shine and make their dreams come true. I kindly request them to fill those forms for submission to the ward administrators for the funding,” he said

He said the County government would also sponsor students pursuing degree courses in universities with Sh20,000, while those pursuing diploma courses will get Sh 15,000. Those pursuing certificate courses will receive Sh 10,000.
