A former Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Staffing Officer, Michael Lokomol has passed on.
Mr. Lokomol who retired about seven years ago was the Staffing Officer in charge of the larger West Pokot County.
Mr. Lokomol is credited as one of the pioneer students who embraced education in the County.
He rose from being a classroom teacher to a Head teacher then an Area Education Officer (AEO) and later a Staffing Officer, a position he held until his retirement.
An alumnus of Chewoyet Boys High School, Lokomol is a respected figure in his home County and was a community leader within Kapenguria area. He was a staunch Catholic who led the Catholic Men Association among other responsibilities in his locality.
Burial arrangements are underway at his home in Tartar village, West Pokot County.
