Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Chairman, Jamleck Muturi, has said that the commission will spend Sh2.5 billion in this year’s budget to recruit new teachers meant to be deployed to secondary schools across the country.
While officially closing the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) national annual Conference at Zayed Hall in Mombasa County, the TSC boss disclosed that the Commission has since 2013 employed 141,000 teachers in the country, but not 120,000 teachers as earlier announced by president Uhuru Kenyatta when he officially opened KESSHA Conference at Zayed Hall in Mombasa County on Wednesday this week.
