Over 323 pupils including candidates are at a loss after a fire razed down Lindi Friends Primary School in Kibera during the weekend.
Villagers tried to quell the fire but it was all in vain.
Speaking to Education News, Moris Aluse the school’s Head Teacher stated that the fire razed down at least eight classes including two kindergarten classes.
Only two classes belonging to Grade six and eight were spared the wrath of the fire.
“It was at 6:30 PM when I received a call informing me that the school was burning. So I rushed here only to find classes ablaze including the administration office,” said Aluse.
Following the incident, the Friends Church sponsored school is currently distributing students to neighbouring schools as they seek the way forward for their candidates.
