The Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu will officially open the Kenya Secondary Schools Association (KSSSA) inter-school Sports National meet to be hosted in Kakamega County.
According to the KSSSA National Planning Committee, the sports activity will kick off on 8th August 2023 with the Education CS gracing the occasion.

“The opening Ceremony at Bhukungu Stadium will be presided over by CS Ezekiel Machogu on the 8th and be closed by the PS in the Ministry of Education Belio Kipsang on the 12th.” KSSSA General Secretary David Ngugi said
The association also released the pattern of playing saying that girls’ 592 teams will be hosted at Mukumu girls High Schools as their 677 boys counterparts will be hosted at Kakamega School.
The soccer matches will be played in Kakamega on four fields while Bukhungu Stadium and Mukumu Girls will offer two and one fields respectively.
Other sports that will be played in the different fields of the County including Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) are Basketball, Netball, and Volleyball games.
Other sports that will entertain sports lovers include racquet games that will feature tennis, table tennis, and Badminton.
The Secretary-General said that the event has the goodwill of the hosting County with Kakamega governor Fernandes Barasa giving it full support.

🛡️Finals: Saturday 12th August, 2023.
🛡️Departure Date: Sunday 13th August, 2023.
