Winners start to emerge as Nyanza drama festival enters second day

Nyanza regional drama and film festivals kicked off yesterday March 19, 2024 at Kebirigo Boys High in Nyamira County.

The occasion which was graced by West Mugirango MP Stephen Mogaka has shown heated performance from various participants in different genres.

The festival which has entered its second day has display exceptional performance securing winners in the already performed arts.

In the Junior Secondary School section under the category of French Solo Verse, St Benedict Kimbeta took emerged winners followed by Maseno Girls as Genesis Preparatory came third. Nyaoke Comprehensive, St Theresia’s Yala Girls and Kenyoro SDA took the fourth, fifth and sixth position.

In the Secondary School section under the category of Choral, St Mary’s Lwak Girls won followed by Achego Girls as Kenyamedha scooped position three. Nyamira Girls and St Annes Sega took fourth and fitfth postions as  Ratanga Boys managed position 13.

In the Solo category Rang’ala Girls, Rapogi Boys and Ahero Girls took positions one, two and three while Kisumu Girls and St Albert Ulanda secured fourth and fifth positions.

On the plays category, Archbishop Okoth Ojolla Girls emerged the winner as Nyamache Boys settle in the second position and Ratang’a Boys close it at the third position.
