Imusutsu High School students’ trip to the Kenya National Music Festival in Meru ended abruptly today when their bus was involved in an accident at the Sirwa Posta area.
The vehicle, which was transporting students and teachers to the event, overturned after reportedly veering off the road at a sharp bend.
Emergency responders, including police and local medics, quickly arrived to assist.

Twenty students were rescued and taken to Jumia Kaimosi Hospital with minor injuries. No deaths have been reported.
Eyewitnesses described the moment the bus lost control before it overturned, while police investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.
