A middle-aged man is fighting for his life at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after he was allegedly beaten by unknown people at Boruma Primary school in Kisii County.
According to his wife, her husband who is a night guard at the school, left home in the evening for work but moments later, he was found by passers-by lying unconsciously along the road.
They informed his family members who rushed him to hospital.
Early medical reports indicated that the victim sustained severe injuries on the neck, head and back.
“He needs to come to so he can tell what befell him but for now he is just groaning. We will make sure we save his life,” said a medic.
Kisii County Police Boss Charles Kesesi said that his officers have started investigations on the matter.
He assured residents who were questioning their safety that they would intensify security in the area and pledged to get to the bottom of the incident.
