Pwani University looses 14 students in road accident

Pwani University students are feared dead in a road accident along Nakuru – Nairobi Highway. Education stakeholders, especially the parents are worried after the university school bus was involved in an accident in Naivasha a while ago.

14 students have been reported dead while others are badly injured after the unfortunate occurrence where the bus hit a matatu. The total number of students traveling in the bus were 30.

According to the witnesses, brake failure was the cause of the accidents which saw lives being cut short as the students from the institutions were heading for co- curricular activities in Eldoret.

The occurrence has sparked the mood of Kenyans online as many join to wish the injured comrades quick recovery and sympathy to families the fallen students.

“Lost a friend!” Martin an online user wrote.

“I am trying to reach a friend alikuwa on board an simu yake ni mteja,” another worried social media user wrote.

“So sad, may their souls rest in peace,” Zazkid wrote.
