President Kenyatta on Friday morning, May 13, hosted education stakeholders from across the country during the president’s Kenya Gold Awards for the education sector.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta is today hosting thousands of students, youth and education sector stakeholders from across the country for this year’s President’s Award-Kenya Gold Award presentations at State House, Nairobi,” read a post in the State House Facebook page.

The gold awards was established in 1966 by the founding president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.
President’s Award-Kenya is a self-development platform for young people to acquire life skills and ethical values for a better society.
Affecto, a charitable organization was among those groups that support education in the country, was present during the event.
