Suna West Member of Parliament Peter Masara has called upon locals to embrace and invest in the education of their children so as to pave way for a brighter future.

Speaking during the commissioning of National Government- Constituency Development Funds (NG-CDF) funded classrooms in Magoto primary school, Masara advised the locals that   they will be able to eradicate poverty and change their living standards through education.

He talked of his struggles in his quest for education at a young age and said that he is who he is because of education.

‘We feel proud when our children hold positions in the government and in other sectors. This is only possible if we invest in education as an equalizer between the rich and the poor,’ said Masara.

He challenged parents to appreciate the efforts teachers make in school by gifting them and giving them the morale to continue imparting learners with knowledge.

‘Let’s love and appreciate the efforts and sacrifices made by teachers in improving the education standards in this region,’ he said.

The legislator reiterated his commitment in promoting education within the constituency and giving every child willing to acquire education a chance to study and better their future.

He urged the locals and electorates to support and elect development oriented leaders who value the development of the people especially in the education sector.

‘Let’s be wise and choose leaders who will develop our region,’ he said.

He revealed that the constituency’s NG-CDF bursary kit had been benefitting at least 40 needy students from the constituency.
