DP Gachagua tells varsity students to work hard for better future

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said that the Government will continue to engage university students to understand the intricate challenges they encounter in the pursuit of their education.

The DP who gave a public lecture to the students of Murang’a University of Science and Technology underscored the importance of university education in any country.

He asked the youth to work hard in their studies and succeed as the only way of appreciate their parents and the government for their investments in terms of funds and time.

“By engaging in dialogue with university students and staff the government is fostering confidence and shaping them for the brighter tomorrow,” he said.

Gachagua was accompanied by the CS for Education Dr Ezekiel Machogu and other high ranked officials.

Saying that universities play a vital role in the development of this country, he asked the staff to engage their time in research that is focused to solving immediate problems like food security, disease control and peace resolutions.

Machogu said that his ministry is determined to leave an education legacy of quality holistic education.

He asked youth to remain focused in their studies to enable them get knowledge that will guide them in making right choices in their lives.
