Tragedy strikes as KCPE candidate gets electrocuted in Kisii

11-year-old Ndindi Nyagosia, a KCPE candidate at Nyatwoni Primary School in Etago, Kisii has been electrocuted while attempting to trim tree branches.

According to a preliminary police report, the fatal incident occurred when the branches inadvertently made contact with electrical wires, resulting in a fatal electrocution.

Despite the frantic efforts of nearby villagers to rescue the child, their lack of first aid skills rendered their attempts futile as the boy passed away in the process.

Reportedly, the lifeless body of Nyagosia was taken to St Joseph’s Tabaka Mission Hospital, where it will be preserved as preparations for his burial are made.

Sadly, this incident comes less than a year after another student from the same region tragically perished during a fieldwork study session at River Riasuta.
