A middle-aged pastor is on the run after allegedly defiling a ten-year-old Grade 4 school girl in Kiogoro location, Kisii County.

The man, who is reportedly a Pastor at the area Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) Church, committed the act on Friday when the minor delivered milk to his residence.

The girl said that the attacker lured her into his bedroom with buttered bread where he committed the atrocity, and warned her against telling on him to her parents.

On returning home, her mother realized that her daughter was walking with difficulties.

She persuaded her to tell what was wrong, and she revealed what had happened.

The parents rushed her to Kiogoro Health Centre for treatment but were advised to go to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for advanced medical attention.

Education News learned that the father of the victim, who is a church elder, resorted to contact the suspected pastor with the intention of reconciling the matter out of Court.

It was at that point that residents got wind of the clandestine arrangement and vowed to beat up both the father and the Pastor.

The father pleaded for lenience from the irate villagers as the saucy pastor dashed into hiding.

The residents reported the matter at Kiogoro Police Station where a manhunt campaign was immediately launched.
