Parents and guardians can now access and verify the schools selected for their children through the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) Grade 10 Selection and Placement Portal.

The development allows parents to confirm whether the schools selected for their learners have been correctly entered into the system by their respective schools. The official portal allows users to view Senior School selections and subject combinations in their order of preference.

To check the selections, parents are required to access the KEMIS Grade 10 Selection and Placement Portal and select the “My Selections” option.

They will then be required to enter the learner’s assessment number and wait for the system to retrieve the selection details.

Once the information is displayed, parents can review the Senior Schools and subject combinations listed for the learner and confirm that the details are accurate.

Parents can download confirmation slip

The portal also provides an option for users to download an official selection confirmation slip for future reference and safekeeping.

Parents have been encouraged to check the information early and raise any concerns through the relevant school or Ministry of Education support channels if they identify discrepancies. The Ministry’s portal advises users who cannot retrieve their selections to confirm the assessment number and contact their school or the Ministry support desk if the problem persists.

The online verification process is part of efforts to enhance transparency and enable parents and learners to keep track of their school selection details ahead of the next stage of the Grade 10 placement process.
