MP disburses a whooping Ksh45m in bursaries for 12,000 beneficiaries

Bursaries

Mogotio Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Reuben Kiborek has been on the forefront in uplifting education standards in the region, recently launching a whopping Ksh45 million for bursaries through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).

12,000 learners across Mogotio benefitted as the constituency is among few in the country that has allocated maximum bursary figures.

In the allocation of the bursary which has seen over 12, 000 learners benefit, the total orphans are going to take the lion’s share of the sum as each student will receive Ksh 30, 000.

On the other hand, partial orphans and children with special needs will take Ksh 10, 000 each. Students in day schools within the constituency and those who study outside Mogotio will receive Ksh4, 000 and Ksh 3, 000 each respectively, which is the lowest amount of the share.

Speaking during the launch of the bursaries at Mogotio NG-CDF offices on April 6, 2023, Kiborek assured residents that he will make education the main agenda in the constituency.

“This bursary will see our parents partially relieved of the school fees burden and orphans are fully taken care of.

“When it comes to education there is no compromise, we give it priority over anything else because it is the most accurate assurance of the future,” he added.

The KCB Manager for Mogotio Branch, Mr. Maurice Katia, promised to continue partnering with the MP in order to keep empowering schools in the area.
