Kisumu County Commissioner spearheads tree planting

Kisumu County Commissioner Hussein Alasaw has spearheaded a tree-planting initiative, involving various institutions in the area.

He visited both the Kisumu National Polytechnic and the Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology, setting a goal of 10,000 trees for each institution.

“Those who have planted the trees should ensure their proper cultivation till they grow,” Hussein stated.

Additionally, he called on civil servants to take a leading role in the overall initiative.

The Chief Principal of Kisumu National Polytechnic Catherine Kelonye, committed to ensuring the successful planting and care of all 10,000 seedlings allocated to their institution.

Similarly, Tom Mulati, from the Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology, echoed this commitment.
