The government has been urged to support youth in the Coast region to explore their talent in sport as their potential can be discovered through funding of activities.
Speaking during a Kenya Volley Ball Federation tournament in Kilifi County, Rodger Mwafungo, the sponsor of the Rodgers Mwafungo Cup held at Karisa Maitha playground, pointed out that youth in the region have the potential but lack the financial support to fully explore their talents.
The tournament attracted youth from Tana River, Mombasa, Lamu, Kilifi and Kwale counties. The winner was awarded Ksh15,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up got Ksh10,000.
