Rise in KNUT leadership
His union leadership began at school level, as KNUT school representative at Shanga Primary from 2017 to 2021. He was then elected a Branch Executive Committee (BEC) member for the Faza/Kiunga Zone, a role he held from 2021 to 2026.
He was among the young unionists who helped develop the KNUT Youthful Educators Training Manual in Nairobi and took part in national KNUT campaigns in Kisumu ahead of the 2026 elections. KNUT National Chairman Peter Karinga Munuhe is among the leaders who congratulated him on his election.
