Kisii Governor, Simba Arati, has lauded the CS for Education, Ezekiel Machogu, for efforts he has made by turning around the education sector in the country and promised to work with him to ensure quality education is far reaching especially in their region.
While speaking at Bomachoge Chache Constituency, the governor  asked the residents to put their political differences aside and unite for the purpose of development especially in education.
The governor revealed that he was yearning to work closely with President Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government, reiterating the proverbial saying that ‘one finger alone cannot break a louse’.
‘I was elected to power through Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Kenya political function but this cannot deter me from working with the government of day that has the meat and the knife,” he said.
He asked residents to turn up in big numbers to welcome President Ruto as he is sheduled to visit Kisii County at the end of this month.
He said that his government through Elimu with Simba Arati has put aside sh.25 million to support 500 students from poor homes to join form one this year.
‘This seed money was donated from my family account and other close friends like Mr Nyabicha from this region.’He said.
Mr. Nyabicha hails from Bomachoge Chache Constituency and he is the Personal Assistant (PA) to Simba Arati.
The governor announced that his office has 110 chances for more students who attained 350 marks and above to benefit from the free scholarship.

One of the girls who benefitted from Elimu na Simba Arati Fund poses for a photo with her mother at her new School.

“Go to every village and announce this message to all parents because I want Kisii County to shine and be in the lead in education excellence and leave a legacy when my tenure comes to an end,” he added.
Arati who was flanked by his wife, Kwamboka and many other leaders, appealed to other well wishers to support education development because it is the main tool of unity and development.
