13 candidates who sat for KCSE at Bunangeni secondary school in Webuye West Sub County were feted by the school for their exemplary performance.
The students were given suitcases and other prizes.
The colorful event was graced by sub county Teachers Service Commission director Dr. Truphosa Korir,who said the move will motivate students to work hard and perform better in schools.
“I want to encourage the students to cultivate a good working relationship with teachers “she added.
She advised other schools to also offer incentives to their teaching staff and give prizes to students who post good results.
The school’s principal Simon Mutembete said that the school’s intention is to have a literate society.
He promised to dish out more gifts of appreciation to those who perform well.
