Workers at Yago mixed secondary school in Awendo; Migori County downed their tools demanding for payment of their arrears.
The learners at the same school also matched out of the institution demanding for the transfer of the principal citing mismanagement.
The students who spoke to Education News on request of anonymity accused the principle Mr. Alfred Mbori of only good at sending them home for school fee arrears as low as ksh. 300, but still feed them on poor diet.
Workers on the other hand say the head teacher lacks proper management skills.
The actions left learning activities halted at the institution paralyzed for two days forcing management to send students home since the cooks were not even preparing meals.
The principal said he called the Board of management for an emergency meeting who discussed the matter and agreed that the workers will soon receive their payments beginning this week.
