KCSE

Over 100 students from St Joseph Rapogi School in Uriri, Migori County have been diagnosed with flu-like symptoms.

Senior Principal Erastus Nyagwa confirmed the incident, further revealing that the students showed signs of dry cough and flu and were taken to various hospitals for further tests and treatment.

He clarified that covid-19 tests were done on the learners and that no one tested positive.

“We suspect there is an outbreak of influenza,” he explained, further clarifying that the flu is different from cold and can cause mild to severe illness and death.

The entire school staff and students are under observation.
