Fireband Dr. Constantine Wasonga Opiyo has retained his Secretary General seat for University Academic Staff Union (UASU) in the just concluded national elections today at Nakuru Athletics Club in Nakuru County.
The elections which were peaceful also saw Grace Nyongesa being elected to the position of National Chairperson, while Cyprian Ombati being elected as National Vice-chairperson.
Others who were elected include Dr. Janepher Kumba who was elected as National Treasurer, while Weldon Tonui Keter will now be National Assistant Treasurer.
Jacob Musembi will be Dr. Wasonga’s deputy while Dr. Onesmus Mutio was elected to the position of National Organizing Secretary.
