Varsity unveils scholarship for vulnerable 2025 KCSE students to study law

Zetech University has unveiled the TechSheria Scholarship, a transformative initiative aimed at supporting bright and deserving students who aspire to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree at the institution but face financial constraints.

Targeting students who completed their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2025, the scholarship offers full tuition coverage for successful applicants enrolling in the undergraduate program at the university.

The initiative according to the university’s Vice Chancellor Prof Njenga Munene, underscores the institution’s commitment to expanding access to quality legal education and nurturing socially conscious leaders, in line with the law school’s niche in legal technology and entrepreneurship.

“Through this TechSheria Scholarship, we are opining doors for talented young Kenyans to access legal education and become catalysts for positive change in their communities and beyond,” Prof Munene said.

He added that the scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and strong commitment to community engagement.

Eligible applicants must have attained a minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) in KCSE with at least a B (Plain)in English or Kiswahili, and must come from needy or vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds.

Dr Eric Kibet, the Dean Zetech Law School emphasized the scholarship’s role in shaping the next generation of legal professionals.

“This scholarship is more than financial support, it is an investment in justice, equity and the future of our society. We are looking for students who not only excel academically but also show a deep commitment to leadership and service within their communities,” Dr Kibet said.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants are required to complete official application form via the link TechSheria application link, attach all mandatory documents including a motivation letter, KCSE result slip, school leaving certificate, two recommendation letters (from a religious/civic leader and high school principal), identity card or birth certificate and any additional supporting documents (where applicable). The deadline for applications is May 30, 2026.

Successful applicants will be contacted by the University’s admission team for further guidance on the next steps.
