Varsity, Red Cross partner to train Mombasa youth on technical skills

The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) has partnered with the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) to offer a free comprehensive training programme in plumbing, electrical and welding.

In a statement released to the press, the programme which is funded by the Embassy of France in Kenya is targeting the youth and women in Mombasa looking to advance their technical skills and are willing to pursue careers in these industries.

The students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, industry experts and vast experience that is aimed at preparing all the learners for successful careers in these fields.

The partnership ensures that the programme meets rigorous academic standards and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the plumbing, electrical and welding industries.
