The new Makueni County Teachers Service Commission (TSC) director Alex Cheruiyot has sent a stern warning to conmen who solicit funds from teachers seeking employment.
He noted that the applicants should bear in mind that TSC will strictly following the set guidelines during recruitment.
Speaking less than a month in his new office, the director urged teachers to report such people reminding them to be more alert since there is no short cut in employment.
Cheruiyot warned school heads against asking for money from parents seeking admission for their children and instructed parents to report such cases.
The director promised to take Makueni to greater heights by offering conducive environment to teachers and learners.
“I will work with all education stakeholders and all those geared to support education. I can’t forget members of fourth estate who help in disseminating the right information to the public,” added the director.
The TSC director was transferred from Isiolo to replace Catherine Mwenda who was transferred to Muranga in the same capacity.
