The residents called the police who arrested and detained him at Nyansiongo Police Station where he recorded a statement to assist the police carry out investigations.

The accused pleaded not guilty and requested to be released on bond before the magistrate at Keroka town.

The Magistrate denied him bond on the grounds that if released, he might interfere with evidence.

“While it is his right to be granted bond, we find it unwise to grant it to him because his temporal release might tamper with the evidence,” said the Magistrate.

Following the court order, parents from the school have asked for justice to be done for the defiled minor.
