Teacher arrested for defiling 16-year old student in Homa Bay

A secondary school teacher in Ndhiwa constituency, Homa Bay County has been arrested after he allegedly defiled a 16-year old schoolgirl.

The teacher was arrested on Monday morning in his house where he is accused of defiling the girl from, on diverse dates from early last year.

He has reportedly been doing the same with other girls from the institution using cake as one of the baits to lure them into sexual relationships; and punishes students who resist his advances.

According to the victim’s father, he came to discover the relationship between the teacher and his daughter when the minor started experiencing pregnancy symptoms.

“My daughter developed morning sickness before we took her to a hospital for a pregnancy test which turned positive,” he said.

He then liaised with the Police to arrest the teacher and called for his immediate transfer.

“The girl is my firstborn child whom the family will rely on in the future. I want the teacher to get punished and transferred because I know students will not concentrate in his class,” the parent said.

Ndhiwa Sub-County Police Commander Paul Rioba confirmed the incident and disclosed that the teacher is currently under interdiction due to other cases of defilement.
