The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has joined hands with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to introduce the second cohort of students of the NCPWD Education Grant Scheme for the academic year 2022-2023.

According to an announcement on their social media platforms, the opportunity targets those who have registered with NCPWD and successfully transitioned to the new registration system.

The scholarship reaches out to candidates pursuing education in a wide array of institutions, including private and public universities, TVET institutions, approved medical training establishments, and other accredited higher education institutions across the nation.

To qualify for the NCPWD-HELB scholarship, applicants must be registered with NCPWD under the new registration system or have transitioned to this modernized system.

They should also be enrolled in approved courses at the undergraduate level, within TVET institutions, colleges, or public institutions, holding a valid admission number, and they must have a student profile account with HELB.

The NCPWD-HELB scholarship is not a loan but a grant designed to provide financial support to students as they pursue their academic aspirations.

Successful beneficiaries will be allocated their funds using the USSD code *642#, as directed by HELB. However, submission of an application does not guarantee the award of the scholarship.

Interested individuals are encouraged to apply through the online application link https://www.hef.co.ke/.
