President William Ruto is expected to tour Migori County today and tomorrow, where he will launch and commission several development projects, including school infrastructure.
According to the programme released by the Migori County office, Governor Ochilo Ayacko confirmed the presidential visit, which starts today.
“The President is coming here, and I call upon residents to turn up in large numbers to welcome him,” he said.
According to the programme seen by Education News, the President will start his journey at Suna East Constituency, where he is attending an interdenominational prayer service at Kadika Primary School before proceeding to Suna West Constituency, where he will launch the construction of a Technical Training Institute and unveil the Deputy County Commissioners’ office at Piny Oyie.

On day one, his journey will end at Kuria West Constituency, where he will launch an affordable housing project in Kehancha town.
Tomorrow, the President, with his entourage, will unveil classroom buildings at Rongo Comprehensive School and inspect the ESP Market at Kosir and Rongo town.
The President will then deliver the long-awaited school bus to St Pius Uriri Boys’ High School and Gokehataka Secondary School in Ntimary town.
Kuria East MP Mathias Robi said the President will visit other places, like Ntimaru, to inspect the ongoing construction of affordable housing.
Robi said President Ruto’s visit confirms good intentions for President Ruto’s broad-based government.
He asked residents to set aside their political differences and work with the government of the day to achieve rapid development.
