Bomet University has officially adjusted the dates for its 2026 Cultural Week, moving the multi-day festival to early December.

According to an internal communication issued by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs) on November 6, 2026, the annual celebration will now take place from Wednesday, December 2, to Sunday, December 6, 2026.

The adjustment follows deliberations and resolutions reached during a Committee of Deans meeting held on the same day.

The university administration noted that the rescheduling is primarily intended to facilitate smoother planning, improved coordination and broader participation across the campus community.

With the new dates confirmed, all academic schools, administrative departments, student leaders and university units have been urged to align their plans and make the necessary adjustments to ensure a successful event.
Celebrating cultural diversity and talent
The institution emphasised that Cultural Week remains a cornerstone of campus life, providing a platform for students and staff to celebrate their diverse cultural heritage, showcase their talents and foster creativity.

While a detailed programme of events and performances will be released in due course, anticipation is already building among students.

The administration has called on the entire university community to support the event and participate enthusiastically.

As Bomet University continues to champion holistic student development, guided by its institutional motto, “Green Economy for Sustainability,” the December festival is expected to provide an opportunity to celebrate unity, culture and talent.
