Police have launched a manhunt for 31-year-old Bernard Njere who killed his elder brother after finding him in a compromising situation with their 17-year-old step-sister.
Both the deceased Samuel Irungu (37) and Njere had been in a relationship with the sister. According to police report, the deceased had sometimes last year impregnated the step sister, who experienced a stillbirth in March this year.
Njere descended on his brother with fury and hit him with a blunt object. Irungu succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in hospital.
This incident that happened in Chema village in Baricho, Kirinyaga County left residents in shock.
