The teaching fraternity in Nandi County is mourning the death of Kamonya Lumasia, a Chemistry and Mathematics teacher at Kamimei Secondary School, where he also served as the Director of Studies (DOS).

Lumasia’s death is a loss to the school community, colleagues and learners who depended on his professional contribution to teaching and academic coordination.

As a Chemistry and Mathematics teacher, he played a role in delivering the two subjects, which are important in learners’ academic development and future career choices.

School loses key academic coordinator

His additional responsibility as Director of Studies involved supporting the school’s academic programmes and coordinating activities aimed at improving learning outcomes.

His death leaves a gap in the school’s teaching staff and academic leadership as colleagues and learners come to terms with the loss.
