Kakamega Bishop urges 2025 candidates to focus on their studies

Kakamega Catholic Diocese Bishop Rev. Joseph Obanyi has encouraged 2025 the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to prepare spiritually and academically ahead of the upcoming national examinations which will be held in November.

Speaking during St. Ignatius Mukumu Boys High School prayer day, Bishop Obanyi urged the students to remain disciplined, work closely with teachers, and focus on their studies.

He also appealed to parents to give their children a conducive learning environment during the August holidays while keeping a close eye on their activities.

Sylvester Shioya, who is the school principal revealed that they expect better performance in this year’s exam unlike the previous one.

The day also doubled as a celebration of the school’s patron saint, St. Ignatius of Loyola.
