Besides beefing up security in the volatile county, Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) is amongst the priorities outlined by Isiolo County Governor Abdi Hassan Guyo.
‘’I hope the insecurity menace will soon be behind us in order to allow us refocus our energy on other more important development agenda,’’ he told Education News on phone.
Saying that Isiolo county government has accepted his request to set a buffer zone in specified security prone zones at the borders, the governor added that the ECDE performance has been rather disturbing.
‘’ Given that is the crucial formative stage , my administration will soon begin a process that will give us a holistic look at ECDE,’’ he pointed out stressing to have it revamped thus ensuring high value learning outcome for the learners.
Besides prioritizing ECDE Guyo has another educational project on promoting financial literacy by targeting youth and women.
The governor said the Isiolo County Executive is working with the County Assembly to finalize the legal and regulatory aspect to set the business fund rolling out to promote financial inclusion for the women and youth
He clarified the fund will ensure the expansion of existing business framework to help youth and women.
