Former Bumula Member of Parliament Bifwoli Wakoli.

Yesterday, former Bumula Member of Parliament (MP) Wakoli Bifwoli, 71, earned his Doctorate Degree in Psychology and Religion from Kibabii University.

“It has not been an easy journey. It is very difficult to attain a PhD, but it requires determination and resilience. What I can say is that I want to encourage people they can do what someone has done, as long as they are determined,” Bifwoli said.

He added, “I have graduated with a PhD in Religion. Religion means that I have studied all religions, Buddhism, Islam, African religion, Islamic ethics, mystical powers, and all that it pertains.”

The once-firebrand politician took a break from politics and retired to farming and business after losing the Bumula Parliamentary race in 2013.

Bifwoli served as MP in 2007 and also as an assistant Minister of Lands in the Mwai Kibaki Government.

In 2017, Bifwoli graduated from the same university with a Master’s Degree in Education (History).
