Residents of Mugero, Magutuni in Maara Sub county of Tharaka Nithi woke up to a bizarre incident after a Form One boy was caught with a sack full of used women undergarments.
The villagers were shocked in the mouth-gaping event after the 16-year old boy was nabbed with the used women undergarments hidden in his rented house.
Suspicious villagers broke into the boy’s rented house and found the clothes stored in a sack.
The boy is alleged to have been practicing the queer habit for the last four years and has maintained it since he was in Class Six.
Several women in the village claimed there has been increased cases of their panties and bras disappearing mysteriously only for them to be discovered in the suspect’s house.
One of the women said she had lost 12 of her panties on Sunday and had only been left with one that she had worn that day.
She says they now in fear for their lives because they do not know the motive behind the stealing of their garments.
“How sure are we the voices talking to him weren’t evil spirits looking for souls to sacrifice or people to torment?” lamented Gacheri Ngai.
Responding to the accusations, the minor who confessed to the mischief, claimed he hears some strange voices of a man and sometimes of a woman directing him where the undergarments are and their colours.
He is now pleading for forgiveness while calling upon spiritual intercessors to intervene for him to be freed off the voices and queer habit.
The villagers set the garments ablaze after prayers and through the assistance of a local pastor rebuked the spirits.
