Exams kick off in Mwala with no issues, Machakos DCC

By Lydia Ngoolo

Mwala Deputy County Commissioner David Tegutwa has said the exams kicked off smoothly in the sub county across all the 291 centres.

The Grade 6 and Class 8 exams began as scheduled despite heavy rains in the area.

“We have 5,911 KCPE candidates in 214 centres and 4,879 KPSEA candidates in 77 centres. We will ensure everything goes as planned for the success of our candidates,” said Tegutwa.

He called upon those concerned with the examination exercise to make sure they adhere to all rules and regulations.

Tegutwa called upon centre managers to report any issue arising during the examination period using the right channel and avoid airing them on social media.

Teachers Service Commission Sub County Director Bernard Abuga cautioned centre managers against taking the exams to their offices saying they should hand them over to the supervisor immediately they arrive at the centre.
