CS lauds County for highest transition rate

Education Cabinet Secretary recently lauded the education officials in Elgeyo Marakwet County for upholding the standards hence ensuring that the county becomes the best in transition rate of students.
The CS singled out the county as one of the leading in secondary schools transition rate in the country.
The CS Amina Mohammed said a total of 92.62 per cent pupils in primary schools in the county transited to secondary schools.
She called county leaders to ensure they reached the targeted 100 per cent saying the Government had the necessary resources to accommodate all the students transiting to secondary schools.
Speaking at St. Patricks High School Iten during a thanks giving ceremony, the CS said to date a total of Sh6 billion had been disbursed to schools for infrastructural development.
