A section of leaders and parents in Kiambu County have called on the Ministry of Education to consider learners’ choice of their schools in the form one selection exercise.
Leaders led by former Kiambu County Woman Representative Anna Nyokabi told the Prof George Magoha-led Education Ministry to be fair enough to learners across the country while placing them in Form one slots.
Nyokabi spoke at Sheridan Academy in Kiganjo, Gatundu South sub-county after meeting with some of the candidates who shined in their KCPE examinations.
She said that denying the pupils the opportunity to join their High schools of their choices even after attaining the required marks will demoralize them and greatly affect their performance in secondary school.
The former Woman rep urged the Education Cabinet Secretary to ensure that all students who have attained the requisite marks to propel them to their schools of choice are not disappointed.
