Defilement and incest in Kisii County has risen to alarming rates with most young girls finding it hard to access economic and educational opportunities.
Such incidence has generated outcry with residents calling on the police to arrest the perpetrators.
A suspect recently defiled his two daughters in the county.
According to the Chief of Kiogoro Location Wilfred Nyakiarora, the father committed the vice at his home in the absence of their mother.
“The mother had been arrested and taken to the police cells because she was not putting on face mask”, reported the chief.
The father abused her primary school daughters who reported it to the neighbours in the following morning.
The matter was reported at Kiogoro Police Station.
The police identified the man as Amos Rioba of Kiogoro Location in Kisii County.
The two girls were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital where they tested positive of being sexually abused.
Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital CEO Dr. Enock Ondari confirmed that the minors were abused.
He said they were undergoing treatment. The medic assured the public that the girls will recover but appealed to the church and teachers to be near them after discharge from hospital to assist them with emotional rehabilitation.
