Youth encouraged to embrace technical Education

By Tony Wafula

Youths have been urged to embrace technical education as one way of solving the unemployment crisis in Kenya, Ministry of Education Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Zack Kinuthia has said.

”There is a shortage of formal jobs. We encourage the youth to join technical institutes and acquire useful skills,” Kinuthia said when he toured learning institutions in Bungoma county.

Deputy Governor Charles Ngome said the Bungoma County government had invested heavily in the over 40 technical colleges in the county.

Ngome also called on the Ministry of Education to provide desks to vocational training institutes.
