The World Children’s Day celebration for this year is set to take place on Monday November 20, 2023 at the Gravity Centre along the Eastern By-Pass, Nairobi.
According to a circular from Unified APBET Schools Association of Kenya dated November 15, 2023, the event is scheduled to start at 10:00am.
World Children’s Day is a globally recognized event orchestrated by UNICEF to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, serving as a reminder of the fundamental human rights of children.
The celebration aims to provide a platform for children and young people to voice issues significant to them.
The Gravity Centre is expected to echo with the authentic voices of young people as they express their thoughts and aspirations for a more promising future.
Prioritizing children’s rights and encouraging their active participation is the central theme of the event.
