Taita Taveta University out going Vice Chancellor Prof. Hamadi Iddi Boga has handed over his final report to the University Council paving the way for the appointment of his Deputy Prof. Fred Simiyu Barasa as the new acting Vice chancellor.
Prof. Simiyu will be acting pending ratification by the Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.
Prof. Boga said it was an honour to serve in the Institution and witness its progressive transformation over the years.
He leaves the university after his appointment as the Principal Secretary – Agriculture Research in the Ministry of Agriculture.
