The United States embassy has donated 100,000 face masks for distribution to public primary and secondary schools in Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County.

Area MP Titus Khamala said the embassy had supported the constituency a lot during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am very grateful to the American people and especially their ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter who has been very supportive of us,” he said.

Khamala said they will approach the embassy to help them sink boreholes in the constituency as one of the measures to curb the spread of the virus in learning institutions and the larger community.
