Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Migori branch executive secretary Orwa Jasolo has pledged to support the education projects and initiatives by Suna West National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) in a bid to attain a mean of 6.0 in the forthcoming national exams.
Jasolo noted that across the county, only Suna West NG-CDF had worked towards ensuring that teachers have easy time by availing all the necessary resources needed to improve the exam mean in schools within the constituency.
Jasolo applauded the area Member of Parliament Hon. Peter Francis Masara for his efforts in implementing his educational pledges to the people of Suna West constituency noting that this has seen the constituency mean in the national exams grow from 2 to 4 in a span of four years.
‘The efforts made by Hon Masara to improve the status of education through infrastructural development and bursaries are commendable. I want to categorically
state that we shall only support leaders who give value to education like the Suna West MP.” Said Jasolo.
He urged parents, teachers and other education stakeholders to only support leaders who are tirelessly working to ensure children get the opportunity to learn.
He further noted that teachers have prepared learners to sit for the forthcoming national exams without engaging in any exam irregularities.
‘Issues of exam irregularities have always existed but I want to assure parents that the teachers are ready and have done whatever is necessary to prepare the candidates for national exams. I wish to call upon parents to support their children at school so that they attain good grades. We want the exercise of administering exams to be as smooth as possible,’ he said.
