A young boy from Turkana who was captured studying under street lights and his images shared online has won the hearts of many as well-wishers now come along to help him satisfy his plight for education.
Peter Losike’s dedication to studying has seen his life transformed through the power of community and compassion.
Deeply moved by Peter’s plight, is Minister ZIDO, a prominent online personality and philanthropist, mobilized his extensive Facebook community. This collective effort quickly raised the necessary funds to dramatically improve Peter’s learning conditions and overall well-being.

Thanks to Minister ZIDO and his generous supporters, Peter has now received a solar panel and solar battery, ensuring he has reliable light for studying at home.
He also received a new mattress for better rest and a complete new school uniform. Importantly, Peter’s full school fees are now covered up to Grade 9, removing a significant barrier to his education.
Minister ZIDO shared his joy, stating
“No more studying by streetlight at night. We’re sorting out the school fees.”
